Senior BIM Coordinator - Data Center

Role Overview

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior BIM Coordinator to support a rapidly expanding data center design and engineering function. This position focuses on mission-critical projects for major hyperscale organizations across MENA, Europe, and Asia. The coordinator will drive BIM collaboration across multiple disciplines, with a strong emphasis on model quality, coordination efficiency, clash management, and adherence to established BIM protocols during both design and construction phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of BIM coordination across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines, and maintain federated models through the project lifecycle.
• Run clash detection, model checks, audits, and issue tracking using Navisworks or comparable platforms, while keeping all work aligned with BIM standards.
• Build and oversee BIM Execution Plans, model exchange workflows such as MIDP and TIDP, and the associated project documentation.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Produce coordination outputs including clash logs, progress reports, construction documents, shop drawings, and as-built model deliverables.
• Guide BIM team members technically, organize coordination meetings, and monitor closure of model-related issues.
• Protect model integrity through version control, data accuracy checks, document control, and support for site-based BIM coordination needs.
• Keep current with BIM tools, digital construction methods, and evolving industry practices.

Requirements

• A degree or diploma in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline.
• 6 to 10 years of BIM coordination experience in engineering, construction, consultancy, or similar settings, including exposure to large commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or data center projects.
• Strong hands-on capability with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and BIM 360, along with a solid grasp of BIM standards, coordination workflows, clash resolution, and model administration.
• BIM certification in Revit or Autodesk is preferred, and familiarity with ISO 19650 and Common Data Environment processes is expected.
• Proven experience coordinating architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical models, while also helping shape BIM standards and project workflows.
• Must have direct experience with mission-critical facilities and hyperscale data centers, including point cloud integration, laser scanning, and as-built model production.
• Excellent communication, coordination, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage several projects, lead meetings, and operate effectively in a high-pressure environment.

Compensation

The salary for this role ranges from QAR 15,000 to QAR 20,000.
