Senior Planner

Role overview

This opportunity is for an experienced Senior Project Planner to support a major pharmaceutical construction initiative in Limerick, Ireland. The assignment sits within a large CAPEX programme and offers the chance to contribute to a high-value manufacturing facility across construction, commissioning, and handover phases, working closely with a multidisciplinary delivery team.

Key responsibilities

• Build and continuously update integrated project schedules in Primavera P6.
• Prepare and control detailed construction timelines, including critical path analysis.
• Track project progress and deliver clear schedule reports to stakeholders.
• Spot delivery risks in the programme and apply corrective recovery actions when needed.
• Draft look-ahead plans, progress summaries, and planning updates.
• Liaise with project management, engineering, construction, and CQV functions.
• Assist with change control, delay assessment, and broader project controls work.

Candidate profile

The client is seeking someone with a strong background in senior-level project planning, ideally from pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences environments. The right person should be comfortable working in EPC or EPCM settings, possess advanced knowledge of Primavera P6, and be capable of operating full time on site in Limerick. Strong English communication and stakeholder-facing skills are also essential.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Senior Project Planner on pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences projects.
• Advanced hands-on expertise with Primavera P6.
• Solid knowledge of construction planning and project controls principles.
• Prior experience in EPC or EPCM project delivery environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication, along with stakeholder management capability.
• Availability to work full time on site in Limerick.
• Fluent English.
