Sonographer

Role overview

We are looking for a Sonographer to join a welcoming and team-oriented imaging service in the Bay of Plenty, with the main workplace based at Fraser Cove. This role is open to both experienced clinicians and those at the early stage of their sonography career. It can be offered on either a full-time or part-time basis, allowing room to match your personal schedule.

In this position, you will carry out a wide variety of ultrasound examinations in a contemporary, well-resourced clinic while helping maintain a high standard of patient care and clinical quality.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out ultrasound scans accurately and efficiently across a broad range of examinations
• Deliver attentive patient care and communicate clearly throughout the imaging process
• Partner closely with radiologists and other clinical team members
• Protect image quality and uphold professional practice standards

Skills and experience

• Registration with the Medical Radiation Technologists Board (MRTB)
• A valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
• Solid technical ability in general ultrasound imaging
• Experience in MSK and/or Obstetrics & Gynaecology is viewed favorably
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfort working both independently and collaboratively
