Job Overview

This role calls for an experienced statistical programming professional who can build, support, and improve programs that serve both internal teams and external clients. You will help shape project-level solutions across the full range of statistical programming work and contribute specialist support to the Statistical Programming function.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, write, test, and document programs used to produce statistical tables, figures, and listing summaries, as well as analysis datasets and data transfers for internal and external clients.
• May also plan and carry out database quality-control checks.
• Build programs that integrate data from multiple studies or other sources.
• Create supporting programming documents such as plans and specifications when needed.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders by applying advanced technical knowledge and helping develop practical solutions for project teams and the wider department.
• Support the creation, rollout, and validation of new process technologies, macros, and applications.
• Take responsibility for statistical team lead tasks on individual studies while working under supervision.
• Review the scope of work, estimate completed effort, manage out-of-scope items for single studies, and may help with budget, staffing, revenue, and resource forecasts, including quote assumptions where required.
• Train and mentor junior staff members and new joiners.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with at least 1 year of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• An equivalent mix of education, training, and professional experience is also acceptable.
• Strong understanding of statistics, programming, and/or the clinical drug development process.
• Hands-on knowledge of Base SAS, SAS/STAT, and SAS Macro Language.
• Well-developed organizational, interpersonal, leadership, and communication abilities.
• Comfortable managing several tasks and projects at the same time.
• High level of precision and strong focus on detail.
• Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues, managers, and clients.
