Store Assistant - Moate

About the role

Aldi Ireland is hiring Store Assistants for a brand-new store in Moate, County Westmeath, which is due to open later in the year. The business is recruiting ahead of launch so new team members can be fully prepared before the store begins trading.

Because the location is not yet open, selected candidates will initially receive training and work in Aldi's Athlone store or in one of the two Aldi stores in Tullamore. After that, they will move into the Moate branch once it opens.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver warm, efficient support to shoppers and help maintain a positive customer experience.
• Replenish stock, monitor product condition, and keep displays presented to a high standard.
• Use tills accurately and complete transactions quickly and correctly.

Skills and experience

• Outgoing, helpful, and willing to support both customers and colleagues.
• Comfortable working at pace, staying active, and being on your feet for long periods.
• Dependable, adaptable, and ready to contribute in a fast-changing retail setting.
• Able to work confidently with numbers and carry out basic till tasks.
• Previous retail experience is beneficial, but it is not essential; the right attitude is more important.

Additional information

Shifts may begin as early as 6:00 am and may finish as late as 10:00 pm, depending on the store. Applicants should make sure they have reliable transport arrangements for these shift times before applying.

Recruitment process

This position is being filled in advance of the new store opening, so successful candidates will complete their initial training and work placement in nearby Aldi locations before transferring to Moate when the store opens.
