Role overview
The Team Leader is part of the store management group and supports the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in running day-to-day retail operations.
Key duties
- Guide, coach, and supervise store associates while providing day-to-day support.
- Oversee merchandising activities, shelf replenishment, and the handling of incoming shipments, including boxing and unboxing.
- Help maintain high standards of customer service across the store.
- Carry out manager-on-duty responsibilities such as managing breaks, time tracking, and attendance.
- Apply and sustain visual merchandising standards throughout the store.
- Respond to customer concerns and resolve complaints in a timely manner.
- Keep the store safe, tidy, and compliant with cleanliness expectations.
- Handle cash-related duties and support store opening and closing procedures when required.
- Take part in inventory activities and assist with employee training.
- Track assigned follow-ups and contribute to hiring and performance management tasks.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in retail.
- Between 1 and 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Motivation to grow and build a long-term career with the company.
- Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Capability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a busy, high-traffic setting.
