Role Overview

Hudu is looking for a well-rounded Designer to take ownership of the user experience and user interface across its digital products and assets. In this role, you will partner with cross-functional teams to simplify complex ideas and shape them into elegant, intuitive, and user-focused solutions. You will contribute to user research, run usability testing, create mockups and high-fidelity designs, support product and marketing visuals for go-to-market efforts, and help ensure the end result is seamless for customers and easy for the development team to implement.

Core Responsibilities

• Assess user experience needs across the product suite and compare current solutions to identify opportunities for stronger alternatives.
• Work with the existing component library to create interface elements such as navigation, search, and widgets, while identifying missing pieces and designing new components when needed.
• Turn product concepts into polished, high-fidelity design options quickly and present multiple directions with clear pros and cons to support team decisions.
• Own user research and testing from start to finish, using findings to validate design choices and understand user behavior.
• Prepare organized, well-documented design files that make handoff to developers smooth and efficient.
• Stay current on industry trends, standard practices, and competitor offerings so the product remains competitive.
• Follow established design systems carefully to maintain consistency across platforms, with particular attention to product-focused typography and layout.

What We’re Looking For

• A degree or certification in Product Design, UX/UI Design, Digital Design, or a similar field; equivalent professional experience is also acceptable.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in UI/UX or Product Design for digital products or services.
• A portfolio that clearly shows shipped work for both web and mobile applications.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma; experience with Canva is helpful for marketing support but not required.
• A practical understanding of modern best practices for both mobile and web design.
• Strong spoken and written English skills, along with the ability to explain design decisions clearly to stakeholders.

Compensation

The pay for this role is influenced by factors such as skills, experience, education, and other job-related qualifications. The stated compensation range is USD 50,000 to USD 100,000.
