About the role

The Golden State Warriors are hiring a Video Editor to help shape compelling stories and media for social channels and other distribution outlets. The work spans brand activations, sponsorship content, and social media projects. The role is expected to maintain the quality standards established by the Director of Production and requires someone with a strong creative eye for immersive, engaging storytelling. The position reports to the Manager, Post-Production.

This is a full-time onsite role based in San Francisco, CA. It offers the chance to contribute to a growing sports and entertainment organization where initiative and dedication are valued.

Key responsibilities

• Support Warriors and Chase Center media platforms with practical content and production assistance.
• Uphold the production quality standards expected across Warriors Studio output.
• Work closely with other producers and editors to develop ideas and improve content.
• Edit player features, promotional materials, and other assigned video assets.
• Take concepts from idea to completion quickly, especially when turnaround times are very short.
• Contribute fresh content concepts and franchise ideas that could support new revenue opportunities.
• Assist with the creation, production, and editing of documentary-style and long-form video content.
• Handle color correction, audio mixing, and motion graphics work.
• Partner with motion graphic designers on custom requests to enhance the final product.
• Keep current with emerging video techniques, social media formats, and industry trends.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in film production, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 to 4 years of professional experience in a production setting with editing and motion design exposure.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects.
• Nice to have: ability to operate digital cinema cameras such as Sony FS7, FS5, A7s, Canon C100, and C300.
• Understanding of lighting methods and production setups.
• Familiarity with digital video styles, platforms, editing techniques, and motion graphics creation.
• Capability to manage production shoots independently.
• Interest in emerging technology tools and creative approaches.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues at different levels of the organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, along with strong service and problem-resolution skills.
• Comfort handling several projects at once in a fast-moving, demanding environment.
• Availability to work weekends and overnight shifts when required.

• Hourly pay range of $34.00 to $36.00, plus bonus.
