Warehouse Coordinator

Role overview

The Warehouse Coordinator position sits within the supply chain and manufacturing function and supports the movement of goods from receipt through to dispatch. The work is hands-on, fast-moving, and closely tied to physical stock handling as well as SAP-based transactions. A major part of the role is managing reverse logistics with strong attention to detail.

The role supports multiple stakeholders and requires clear inventory reporting to help the business make informed decisions. It also demands high standards of stock accuracy, strong controls, and compliance with inventory procedures.

You will provide direction and leadership to teams handling raw materials and finished goods, including goods receiving, stock issuance, cycle counts, reconciliations, and related reporting. The role works closely with Packaging and Blending, Imports & Export, Customer Service, third-party contractors, Planning and Procurement, Governance and Security, and other logistics teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee inventory control and quality checks, including stock levels, ageing, FIFO discipline, batch-picking alignment, slow-moving/obsolete stock, and expiry management.
• Plan and organize warehouse space, capacity use, and daily operational layouts to support efficient performance.
• Match physical inventory against system records, explain any variances, and maintain accurate stock reconciliation.
• Maintain a safe warehouse environment by ensuring HSE standards, proper tools, toolbox talks, hazard spotting, PPE use, and regular safety walk-throughs.
• Ensure timely and accurate system entries, monitor daily stock movements, and keep control processes compliant.
• Support warehouse hygiene standards in line with governance requirements, quality standards, and food protection/defence expectations.
• Take ownership of internal and external audits and follow through until all corrective actions are closed.

Requirements

• A degree or equivalent practical experience in Business Commerce, Business Administration, or a similar field, with solid accounting knowledge.
• Working knowledge of supply chain operations.
• More than 5 years of hands-on experience in inventory management and reconciliation, preferably in an FMCG setting.
• Advanced user capability in SAP.
• Exposure to broader logistics operations will be an advantage.
