PwC India’s Advisory practice is hiring a Manager-level Workday HR Functional Consultant. This position is focused on helping clients use Workday to improve and connect HR, talent, and finance processes across the full implementation journey.

The role is suited to a Workday-certified professional with strong hands-on experience in Workday implementations and specialization in one of the following areas: Talend, Absence, or Time Tracking. The preferred locations are Bangalore and Chennai, though candidates across India may be considered.

What the role involves

• Take ownership of Workday implementation work, including configuration, testing, and deployment, while helping deliver projects on schedule.
• Apply deep functional knowledge of Workday modules, especially Talend, Absence, or Time Tracking, to advise clients effectively.
• Work closely with clients to understand HR needs and convert those requirements into practical Workday solutions and best-practice recommendations.
• Set up Workday to fit client-specific HR processes, including reports, workflows, and integrations.
• Perform detailed testing of configurations and integrations to verify data accuracy and reliable system performance.
• Prepare and maintain clear documentation for configurations, business processes, and solution design.
• Train end users and support the resolution of HR system issues.
• Keep up with Workday product updates, enhancements, and industry practices, and use that knowledge to improve outcomes.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Valid Workday certification is mandatory.
• Around 4 to 6 years of relevant experience as a Workday HR Functional Consultant; the posting also mentions 6+ years of experience.
• Practical experience in Workday implementations, especially configuration and testing.
• Specialization in at least one of these modules: Talend, Absence, or Time Tracking.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Very good communication and people skills for working with clients and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and juggle several assignments at once.
• Strong documentation and reporting capability.
