Role Overview

Ausco Modular is seeking a practical, hands-on Operations Technician - Leading Hand to work with a small team in Karratha. The role suits someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in keeping a hire yard orderly, and can handle straightforward maintenance and repair tasks.

Compensation and Hours

• Pay rate: $64.65 per hour, including allowances, plus superannuation.
• Employment arrangement: Permanent full-time position.
• Weekly hours: 38 hours per week.
• Roster: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Key Duties

• Load and unload modular buildings and associated equipment.
• Clean, inspect, and prepare units for redeployment.
• Assist with local deliveries and collections.
• Maintain a yard that is safe, tidy, and well organised.
• Carry out basic servicing, repairs, and general maintenance.
• Document inspections and maintenance activities.
• Handle customer handovers and respond to questions.
• Support the Operations Manager and help guide the yard team on a day-to-day basis.

About You

You should be comfortable working with your hands and confident using basic tools to complete maintenance work. The role also requires someone who can work independently, contribute to a small local team, and keep safety and presentation standards high.

Eligibility and Requirements

• Hold a current driver’s licence.
• Have a current forklift high-risk licence.
• Bring experience in construction, building maintenance, or another similar hands-on environment.
• Be able to use hand tools safely for basic repairs and maintenance.
• Be a local resident of Karratha, or be willing to relocate.
• Have full working rights.
