Asset Protection Representative

About the role

This opportunity is based at Atlantic Superstore, 168 Rothesay Ave, Saint John, New Brunswick, E2J 2B5, where the goal is to help protect the store, reduce product loss, and keep the shopping environment safe and welcoming.

The position is suited to someone who is detail-focused, well organized, patient, comfortable working alone, and able to stay composed in high-pressure situations. You will work closely with store leadership to strengthen asset protection practices and support day-to-day operations that protect profitability and minimize shrink.

What you will do

• Identify, discourage, and respond to theft and fraud activity in retail locations.
• Work with other asset protection representatives on regional or national organized retail crime cases when needed.
• Maintain regular contact and cooperation with local police services.
• Handle internal investigations and prepare evidence for court or arbitration use.
• Spot operational gaps and shrink risks through compliance-focused reviews.
• Develop strong working relationships with store management through meetings and huddles, while coaching colleagues on asset protection policies and procedures.
• Take part in store-level audits.
• Participate in community events.
• Work a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends, with a standard 40-hour work week and some ability to plan your own schedule subject to manager approval.

Requirements

• A valid provincial security guard licence is mandatory.
• You should understand the Criminal Code of Canada, the Trespass to Property Act, powers of arrest, and CCTV or other surveillance systems.
• Working knowledge of Windows-based software, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is expected.
• A professional, approachable, and friendly manner is important.
• You must bring a strong sense of initiative and integrity to succeed in this fast-paced setting.

Compensation
