Assistant Store Manager

About the role

Dealz is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in Cork, County Cork, Ireland. In this position, you will work closely with the Store Manager to guide, encourage, and support the team so the store consistently delivers excellent customer service and high standards across the shop floor.

You will be involved in the day-to-day running of a busy retail store, helping to improve performance, support sales targets, and keep operations efficient. The role spans customer service, team development, stock control, operational delivery, and loss prevention, with a strong focus on maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-run environment for both colleagues and customers.

What you will be doing

• Support the Store Manager in leading the team and maintaining strong store standards.
• Help drive sales performance and contribute to achieving targets.
• Coach and motivate colleagues to deliver great service.
• Assist with stock management and everyday store operations.
• Support loss prevention and operational compliance.
• Keep the store organised, safe, and running smoothly.
• Set a strong example for the team and help build future leaders within the business.

What the role requires

The ideal candidate will bring a confident, people-first approach and be comfortable inspiring others while keeping a close eye on performance and operational detail. Previous retail experience is important, along with proven people leadership skills, strong organisational ability, commercial awareness, and the ability to remain composed in a busy, fast-changing environment.
