Role Overview
This position is for an experienced model audit specialist who is enthusiastic about financial modelling and motivated by growth. You will work alongside a team of modelling professionals to examine and evaluate complex financial models so they remain accurate, dependable, and commercially sound.
Operational Leadership
- Oversee several teams working across an active portfolio of assignments.
- Own model audit engagements and ensure models are mathematically accurate and commercially appropriate.
- Offer strategic direction and practical insight to improve delivery across assignments.
- Review commercial documents and make sure the financial model reflects them correctly.
- Help improve the firm’s modelling methods and tools through ongoing innovation and process enhancement.
- Create project plans, schedules, and resource plans to support efficient delivery.
People Leadership
- Manage and guide a team of model audit professionals.
- Coach, train, and motivate junior colleagues on client work.
- Work closely with teammates and contribute to shared assignments.
- Present model findings clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Translate complex model issues into simple language for non-technical audiences.
Business Growth
- Support the growth goals of a key business sector.
- Contribute to the preparation and presentation of client proposals and pitches.
- Lead client conversations and help strengthen long-term client relationships.
Requirements
- You should demonstrate the company’s core values: Drive, Innovation, Collaboration, and Excellence.
- Bring 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in a financial role, ideally in a respected advisory firm or a large corporate environment.
- Have a strong grasp of accounting principles; an accounting qualification is an advantage.
- Possess specialist knowledge in Project Finance.
- Be highly analytical and experienced in building and running financial models in Excel.
- Hold a degree in a numerate subject; a postgraduate qualification in accounting or finance is beneficial.
- Prior exposure to the FAST financial modelling standard is preferred.
