Role Summary

The breakperson supports production by covering break and meal periods for employees on an assigned shift. Each coverage assignment depends on operational needs and usually lasts no longer than 20 minutes. The role involves frequent interaction with the production team and other departments at the main site, and the employee must be able to complete tasks that may affect product safety, legality, and quality.

Key Duties

• Step into routine production work as assigned by a supervisor or person in charge and follow the relevant standards.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Follow company policies, safety guidelines, and work rules at all times.
• Carry out additional tasks assigned by management or supervision.
• Comply with organizational policies and procedures, including EEO, sexual harassment, safety, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Meet work schedule expectations, attendance requirements, and other operating rules that apply to the role.

Preferred Background

Experience in production work for one year or more is preferred, along with a basic understanding of production processes.

Minimum Requirements

No formal education is required. The candidate must, however, be able to read, understand, and record job-related information.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay rate is $22.51 per hour. Full-time employees may receive health and medical coverage, a 401(k) retirement savings plan, professional growth and leadership training, and paid vacation, holidays, and parental leave. Benefits can differ based on location.
