Role Summary

The Cleaning Supervisor will report to the Manager and oversee cleaning operations for an assigned area, making sure work is completed within budget while meeting internal and client quality expectations. The position is based in Belleville, Ontario, Canada.

Key Duties

• Support control of budgeted labour hours for the assigned site.
• Distribute daily work assignments and duties to team members.
• Regularly review completed work to confirm standards are being met.
• Help onboard and train newly hired cleaning staff.
• Deliver Health and Safety training and ensure PPE and safety equipment are available and used correctly.
• Keep accurate timekeeping records for cleaning staff.
• Handle customer requests and make sure issues are followed through to resolution.
• Manage inventory and stock control.
• Experience supervising strip-and-wax crews is preferred.
• Ability to obtain a reliability security clearance is required.
• Familiarity with preferred vendors such as Ecolab, Tennant, and Globe is considered an advantage.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in cleaning and supervision within a large facility.
• Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and complete work with limited supervision.
• Experience in a unionized workplace, including working with collective agreements and applying them appropriately.
• Availability for flexible start and finish times, including weekends and statutory holidays.
• Clear criminal background check is mandatory.
