Overview
Corlann is recruiting a Community Manager for its Shannon, County Clare service. This is a permanent full-time post of 78 hours per fortnight. Role purpose
This position is responsible for leading and coordinating service delivery within the assigned area, in line with Corlann’s policies, procedures, and guiding principles. The role ensures that day-to-day operations reflect the organisation’s ethos and vision while maintaining strong relationships with the people supported, their families, staff, and the wider community.
The Community Manager will oversee the development and overall running of services, covering a broad mix of day and residential supports for adults with intellectual disabilities in community-based settings. The role also involves providing leadership to Co-Ordinators, Team Leaders, and team members, and contributing to both operational and strategic development across Shannon Services.
Requirements
- A third-level qualification at degree level or above in a relevant area.
- Current CORU registration, or eligibility to register by November 2025.
- Suitable skills and competencies for working with people with intellectual disabilities.
- At least five years of relevant experience, ideally in the intellectual disability sector or a comparable setting, including a minimum of three years in management.
- A strong record of overseeing residential, respite, and/or day services that meet quality, regulatory, and legal standards.
- Experience working in line with the National Standards for Residential Services for Children and Adults with Disabilities (January 2013 Act).
- Experience with HIQA standards and completion of the PIC and/or PPIM role.
- Working knowledge of New Directions standards in day services.
- A full Irish or EU driving licence and access to a car.

- A recognised management qualification.
