Overview
The City of Sydney is hiring motivated Crew Members to join its Parks Operations team within City Greening & Leisure / City Services in the inner-city area. This is a permanent full-time role paying $75,609 per year plus superannuation.
The team looks after more than 400 parks, gardens, sporting fields, park assets, and 97 hectares of open space. In this role, you will help keep these spaces maintained to a high standard using minor plant, equipment, and hand tools.

Role details
This position is based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia and is full-time/permanent. A team-based flexible arrangement may be available, including a 9-day fortnight.
What you will do
- Support the upkeep of parks and open spaces through practical maintenance work.
- Use hand tools and minor plant/equipment to help produce clean, well-kept green spaces.
- Carry out labouring duties as required.
- Use technology such as iPads or similar devices to review work schedules and record completed tasks.
- Drive fleet vehicles when needed for operational duties.
What the employer is looking for
- Comfort with physical labour and outdoor work.
- Ability to use digital devices for work scheduling and task logging.
- A current Class C driver’s licence.
- Willingness to obtain an MR class licence within the first 6 months of employment.
- Capability to drive fleet vehicles.
