Role Overview

The Joint Doctrine, Education, and Training Electronic Information System (JDEIS) must keep its Authority to Operate in place so doctrine and education tools remain available to the force. In this role, the Cybersecurity Analyst supports information system security and cybersecurity activities across JDEIS applications and performs continuous monitoring under the Risk Management Framework. The position helps safeguard the systems used every day by the Joint Staff and field users.

Key Duties

  • Deliver cybersecurity and information system security support for all systems and applications covered under the contract.
  • Run continuous monitoring activities for JDEIS within the Risk Management Framework to preserve the Authority to Operate.
  • Evaluate, develop, deploy, and maintain security controls across the organization.
  • Assist with assessment and authorization work for the JDEIS systems that fall under this program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • An associate degree from an accredited institution, or CNSSI 4011 Information System Security (INFOSEC) Professional certification, or 3 years of relevant experience.
  • DoDM 8140.03 training and certification requirements: IAT Level 1 (A+, Network+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security); IAM Level 1 (CAP, GSLC, or Security+ CE); Cyber Defense (CEH, GCIA, CSIH, or GCIH); and an OS/CE certificate for applicable systems where privileged access is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or a closely related area.
  • Top Secret security clearance, according to the staffing plan.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous cybersecurity support for a Department of Defense system with an Authority to Operate.
  • Working knowledge of JDEIS tools and applications such as JEL, JEL+, JDDT, and JPMT.
