Data Entry Analyst

Role overview

This is a remote, part-time Data Entry Analyst position supporting data-informed decisions for programs and initiatives. The person in this role will gather information from multiple sources, check it for accuracy, and enter it into databases and spreadsheets with consistency and care.

What the role involves

• Clean, structure, and maintain data so records stay complete and reliable.
• Carry out basic analysis and create straightforward reports or dashboards to monitor program outcomes and SDG-related indicators.
• Work with program leads and other teammates to confirm data needs and resolve any unclear requirements.
• Document workflows and help uphold data quality standards across systems.
• Support survey creation, track data collection progress, and assist with regular record audits when needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze information at a basic level and use data to support evidence-based decisions.
• Working knowledge of statistics and an understanding of data modeling ideas for organizing and reporting data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with global, youth-led, and cross-functional teams.
• Comfort using spreadsheets and related tools such as Excel and Google Sheets; exposure to BI platforms like Power BI or Tableau is an advantage.
• Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organization and time management.
• Capability to work autonomously in a remote setup while balancing multiple part-time tasks or projects.
• Interest in youth empowerment, international development, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals; experience in NGOs or volunteer work is a plus.
• A background in data science, statistics, economics, social sciences, or a similar area is preferred, though equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
