Role overview
An established Asia-Pacific organization is hiring a Data Scientist to contribute across the full product lifecycle, from early concept work through to delivery, rollout, and eventual retirement of the product. The role involves close collaboration with product owners, engineering teams, and external industry partners.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with product owners, engineering teams, and industry stakeholders through every stage of product development, including concept creation, design, prototyping, acceptance testing, data preparation, delivery, operational deployment, wider adoption, and end-of-life management.
- Build and roll out software modules using a microservices-oriented architecture.
- Take part in agile, security-aware software development workflows and follow best practices for documenting user needs and source code throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Design, suggest, implement, and verify algorithms while meeting both functional and performance-related requirements.
Requirements
- A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related discipline, along with solid technical grounding in artificial intelligence.
- Strong awareness of current AI research trends and technologies, especially as they relate to production environments.
- Proven programming ability in Python and/or C++.
- Practical experience using tools and libraries for data processing, visualization, machine learning, and reporting.
- Hands-on exposure to at least one deep learning framework such as TensorFlow or Torch.
- Extensive experience with OpenAI and Claude prompt engineering using code-based workflows, plus practical work building and deploying AI agents, RAG systems, and vector/graph databases.
- Deep understanding of 3D geometry, vector mathematics, and coordinate systems.
- Experience with mesh manipulation, Boolean operations, and geometric transformation algorithms.
- Ability to use relevant 3D modeling or CAD tools such as Blender or Rivet, and/or development libraries like OpenGL, CGAL, or Three.js.
