Role Summary

This is a permanent, full-time, on-site electrician role in Worcester. The work will mainly involve domestic electrical installations, repairs, maintenance, consumer unit upgrades, rewires, and fault diagnosis, with additional support on commercial and industrial projects when needed. The role requires compliance with current electrical standards and health and safety rules.

Key Duties

• Perform first-fix and second-fix electrical installation work.
• Install, service, and repair wiring, lighting, equipment, and related electrical systems.
• Replace and upgrade consumer units.
• Carry out full rewires and partial rewires.
• Diagnose faults, complete testing, and investigate electrical issues.
• Read and work from drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Carry out inspection, testing, and commissioning tasks where required.
• Follow BS7671 Wiring Regulations and applicable health and safety legislation at all times.
• Complete job records, certificates, and other paperwork accurately.
• Look after company tools, equipment, and the company vehicle responsibly.
• Communicate professionally with customers, site managers, and team members.
• Deliver work safely, efficiently, independently, and as part of a wider team.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should hold NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, AM2, and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671). A full clean UK driving licence is required. Previous domestic electrical installation experience is essential, while commercial and industrial experience is helpful. Strong fault-finding ability, a solid understanding of BS7671 and health and safety requirements, good teamwork and independent working skills, strong communication, customer service ability, and pride in high-quality workmanship are all important.

Preferred Extras

Additional qualifications and experience that would be advantageous include Inspection & Testing (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent), ECS Gold Card, IPAF, PASMA, EV charger installation experience, and experience with solar PV and battery storage systems.
