Role overview
This opening is for a newly graduated software engineer to join a remote team and contribute across the product stack. The position is structured as an hourly contract with compensation equivalent to $180,000 to $250,000 per year. The expected weekly commitment is between 10 and 40 hours, and the work is based in the United States.
What you will do
- Help create and enhance full-stack systems and product capabilities.
- Write and maintain backend services and APIs using clean, reliable code.
- Develop customer-facing interfaces and strengthen product usability.
- Assist with database structure and data modeling to support speed and growth.
- Work closely with product and design partners to ship features.
- Take part in code reviews, testing, and broader engineering quality improvements.
- Troubleshoot defects and contribute to keeping production systems stable.
What we are looking for
- A recent Computer Science graduate or someone with a similar academic background.
- Solid grounding in JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Exposure to React and core frontend development concepts.
- Working familiarity with Node.js and backend engineering.
- Basic understanding of PostgreSQL or similar databases and data modeling.
- Knowledge of APIs and how systems communicate.
- A strong learning mindset and careful attention to detail.
