Estimation Engineer

Role Overview

Aikah Fire Equipment Division in Dubai, part of Al Khoory Group, is seeking an Estimation Engineer with hands-on experience in fire protection systems. The role focuses on preparing accurate technical and commercial estimates, supporting bids, and coordinating closely with internal teams throughout the estimation and project handover process.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine project drawings, technical specifications, and bill of quantities documents.
• Build cost estimates for fire alarm, sprinkler, and suppression system packages.
• Draft quotations, tender responses, and bid submissions.
• Prepare material take-offs, BOQs, and detailed estimation documentation.
• Work in line with the UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, NFPA requirements, and applicable local regulations.
• Liaise with design, procurement, and project teams to align estimates with project scope.
• Support the project team after estimation during execution as needed.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 3 to 4 years of experience specifically in fire protection estimation.
• Strong working knowledge of NFPA standards and UAE fire codes.
• Ability to use PlanSwift, AutoCAD, and MS Office effectively.
• Good communication ability along with strong analytical thinking.
