About the Company
Barnes Advisory works with founders, startups, and growing brands on strategy, operations, and expansion. In this position, you’ll support founder Brittnee Barnes directly across Barnes Advisory and Vybes, while also assisting with the launch of a new venture that is currently being built.
This is a fast-moving role for someone who is comfortable juggling several priorities, adapts quickly, and enjoys creating order out of shifting tasks.
Role Overview
The organization is seeking a highly organized Executive Assistant / Personal Assistant who can act as a dependable extension of the founder. The role blends executive support, operational coordination, project management, and personal assistance.
Each day will look different, and the right person will be comfortable thinking ahead, solving issues early, and supporting the realities of startup life, brand launches, events, and content work.
Executive Support
- Manage the calendar and coordinate meetings
- Arrange travel and maintain itineraries
- Organize the inbox and provide administrative help
- Prepare presentations and documents
- Provide general operational support across several businesses
Business Operations
- Help coordinate Vybes events and activations
- Support new launches and special initiatives
- Communicate with vendors and manage scheduling
- Handle logistics for photoshoots and production work
- Keep projects structured and progressing
Personal Assistant Support
- Manage personal appointments and scheduling
- Assist with household and home-related logistics
- Book travel, restaurants, and other reservations
- Run local errands and coordinate miscellaneous tasks
- Help keep everyday life running smoothly
Content and Administrative Support
- Support content planning and scheduling
- Organize marketing timelines
- Conduct light research and assist with coordination
- Provide additional founder support as priorities change
Qualifications
The ideal candidate lives in Los Angeles, has dependable transportation, and brings prior experience as an Executive Assistant and/or Personal Assistant. They should be highly organized, detail-focused, and able to stay ahead of needs instead of waiting for instructions.
Strong communication, reliability, discretion, resourcefulness, and the ability to manage several priorities at once are essential. The role also requires professionalism, trustworthiness, and comfort working in a startup setting where priorities can shift quickly.
Most importantly, the team wants someone who genuinely enjoys making life easier for others and who brings calm, flexibility, and a proactive mindset to a busy environment.
Growth Opportunity
This position begins as a part-time role of about 15 to 20 hours per week, with potential to expand into a full-time opportunity as the businesses continue to grow.
Compensation
Pay is set at $25 to $30 per hour, based on experience.
