Facilities Manager

Role overview

The Facilities Manager will be accountable for keeping Mogao Restobar & Lounge’s premises, systems, and equipment running safely and efficiently. This part-time hybrid position is based in Dubai, with a primary on-site presence at Dubai Silicon Oasis and additional work handled from home, including vendor coordination, scheduling, and documentation.

Core duties

• Oversee cleaning, upkeep, and maintenance activities across the venue.
• Arrange and supervise repair work with external contractors.
• Monitor key assets such as HVAC systems, lighting, and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure all operations align with health, safety, and Dubai-local regulatory standards.
• Manage maintenance budgets and keep track of supply inventory.
• Introduce and follow preventive maintenance routines to minimize breakdowns and service interruptions.
• Work closely with the restaurant leadership team to support uninterrupted daily operations.
• Address facility-related problems quickly and help maintain a secure environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications and requirements

• Background in facilities management or building maintenance, preferably in hospitality, food and beverage, or a similar setting.
• Understanding of health, safety, and local regulatory rules relevant to restaurants and lounges in Dubai.
• Ability to coordinate contractors and vendors, including planning schedules, overseeing work, and reviewing basic contracts or invoices.
• Experience planning preventive maintenance for electrical, mechanical, and kitchen equipment.
• Strong organization and time management skills for handling multiple tasks in a part-time capacity.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an added advantage.
• Comfortable using digital tools for maintenance records, reporting, and remote coordination such as email, spreadsheets, and facility applications.
• Proactive, safety-oriented approach with the ability to respond fast to urgent facility issues.
• Prior UAE or Dubai experience and familiarity with local building services are preferred.
• A technical diploma, certificate, or degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related area is beneficial.

This position combines on-site operational support with remote administrative and coordination tasks. The role is focused on maintaining dependable venue operations, reducing downtime, and supporting a safe and well-managed environment.
