About Redki Technologies
Redki Technologies is developing Africa’s device lifecycle operating system. Through Redki Labs, the company is building a trusted and sustainable ecosystem that lets people and businesses buy, verify, repair, protect, finance, trade in, and upgrade devices from one unified platform. The mission is straightforward: make repair dependable. To do this, Redki is bringing together commerce, diagnostics, certification, insurance, financing, logistics, and AI into a single customer experience.
The Role
Redki is hiring a Founding Lifecycle Systems Architect to design and coordinate the full ecosystem. This is a strategic systems role rather than a conventional software engineering position. The selected person will connect multiple platforms into one operating model that supports every customer, device, repair, certification, insurance, financing, and marketplace flow. Working directly with the founder, this architect will help establish the technical foundation for Redki’s expansion across Africa.

Key Responsibilities
Architecture and system design
- Design the end-to-end Redki device lifecycle operating system.
- Set platform-wide architecture principles and standards.
- Define event-driven workflows and clear service boundaries.
- Create scalable API integration approaches.
- Develop integration patterns across commerce, repair, insurance, and financing services.
Workflow orchestration
- Map and document customer journeys for diagnostics, repair, certification, trade-in, buy-back, device protection, device financing, order fulfillment, reverse logistics, and customer support.
Data architecture
- Define the structure for customer lifecycle, device lifecycle, repair lifecycle, order lifecycle, inventory lifecycle, vendor lifecycle, insurance lifecycle, financing lifecycle, and certification lifecycle data.
Platform governance
- Create technical standards for the platform.
- Set observability expectations.
- Establish documentation frameworks.
- Produce architecture decision records.
- Support implementation teams and external vendors.
What Success Looks Like in 90 Days
- Complete a full lifecycle architecture for the platform.
- Deliver a blueprint for system integration.
- Prepare event model and data model documentation.
- Define API standards.
- Launch the first customer-facing workflows.
- Enable the first production-ready Redki service journeys.
Required Experience
- At least 5 years of experience designing complex software systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, marketplace platforms, workflow automation, and cloud infrastructure.
Strong Advantage
- Experience with Medusa.js.
- Background in marketplace platforms.
- Exposure to repair or service operations.
- Experience in InsurTech.
- Experience in FinTech.
- Familiarity with WhatsApp Business API.
- Experience with CPaaS platforms.
- Exposure to AI-driven systems.
