Housekeeper

Role summary

Shamin Hotels is looking for a Housekeeper in Chester, VA to help keep guest accommodations and shared hotel areas clean, orderly, and welcoming. This hourly position is paid on a bi-weekly schedule and sits within the Operations department.

What you'll do

• Prepare guest rooms by making beds and ensuring they are ready for arrivals.
• Restock room amenities and supplies such as drinking glasses and writing materials.
• Clean guest rooms and common areas including hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairwells, locker rooms, and similar workspaces.
• Vacuum carpets and upholstered items, and clean rugs, drapes, and other soft furnishings.
• Dust furniture and equipment to maintain a polished appearance.
• Clean and shine metal fixtures and fittings.
• Wash walls, ceilings, wood surfaces, windows, doors, and window sills as needed.
• Empty waste containers and ashtrays, then carry refuse to the proper disposal area.
• Replenish bathroom consumables and replace light bulbs when necessary.
• Use cleaning chemicals according to the relevant material safety data sheet guidance.
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts, wear the required uniform, and follow company policy.
• Follow all procedures and standards related to the role and its responsibilities.
• Greet guests politely and maintain a friendly, welcoming attitude.

Work details

This role is paid hourly and compensation is processed every two weeks. The job is based onsite in Chester, Virginia.
