Position Overview
MN8 Energy is looking for a meticulous, highly analytical Temporary HR Analyst to support the Benefits and Compensation teams during an important period of HRIS rollout, data cleanup, and process improvement. The role focuses on strengthening data transfers through file feed setup, handling recurring payment reporting, and turning HR data into practical insights that support better decisions across benefits, compensation, and related HR activities.
This position calls for strong Excel and HR analytics capabilities, plus the ability to work independently, move quickly, and maintain a very high level of accuracy in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle billing submissions and reconciliations for all benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, HSA, and COBRA.
- Send weekly payroll files used to fund 401(k) and HSA contributions.
- Confirm that weekly vendor interfaces are transmitted and received correctly, review any interface error reports, and make necessary updates on vendor portals during the weekly validation cycle.
- Review the COBRA vendor process to make sure notices are produced on time.
- Compare COBRA remittance statements with enrollment records to verify that COBRA payments are collected.
- Prepare and check reports for benefit audits, take the lead on audit coordination, and arrange meetings with the relevant stakeholders.
- Collect internal and external information, investigate discrepancies, analyze findings, and recommend corrective actions to management, accounting, and vendors.
- Use multiple reporting tools to build ad hoc and census reports, benefit reports, payroll reports, and spreadsheets covering enrollments, demographic information, payroll deductions, and general ledger accruals. Perform year-to-date analysis for FSA and HSA plans.
- Ensure benefit-plan data quality and system setup in HRIS platforms align with the requirements of each plan document.
- Provide system business requirements, test interface and payroll files, and validate data in the quality assurance environment to support accurate plan administration.
- Create standardized reporting templates and automate manual work wherever possible.
- Identify patterns, risks, and opportunities across the employee lifecycle.
- Maintain accuracy, consistency, and data integrity across all HR reporting.
Candidate Profile
The right candidate should bring at least 3 years of experience in HR analytics, HR reporting, or a closely related data-driven role. Advanced Excel ability is essential, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, data modeling, and ideally macros. Strong experience with HRIS platforms is expected, with Oracle HCM being a major advantage.
You should be able to turn complicated data into clear recommendations for business leaders, stay organized while balancing multiple priorities, and communicate findings effectively to non-technical audiences. A strong eye for detail, solid analytical thinking, and effective problem-solving are critical for success in this role.
Preferred Experience
Experience creating dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or comparable tools is preferred.

- Medical, dental, and vision coverage starting on the first day of the month after your hire date.
- Paid time off.
- Paid holidays and floating holidays.
- 401(k) plan with a competitive employer match.
- Hybrid work arrangement with a work-from-anywhere allowance.
