Junior Accountant

Job overview

Asico is hiring a Junior Accountant to become part of its finance function in Dubai. This role is focused on supporting day-to-day accounting work, keeping financial records accurate, and helping ensure transactions are properly maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Help prepare financial statements and routine reports.
• Record, review, and balance general ledger entries.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
• Complete bank reconciliations and keep an eye on cash movement.
• Assist with activities related to month-end and year-end closings.
• Support audit work and compliance-related tasks.
• Keep accounting files and supporting documents well organized and accurate.
• Work with other teams when coordination is required.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar discipline is required.
• Applicants should ideally have 0 to 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• A working knowledge of accounting fundamentals and standard practices is expected.
• Skill with Microsoft Excel and accounting tools is an added advantage.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical thinking are important.
• Good verbal and written communication along with interpersonal skills are needed.
• The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively is essential.

Compensation and benefits

The role offers a salary of AED 5,000 per month.
