Role Overview
This opening is for a Junior Engineer in the Maintenance (E&I) function. The role is based in Chorasi, Gujarat, India, and is focused on keeping electrical and instrumentation systems reliable through planned upkeep, troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and safe execution of repair work.
Technical Responsibilities
- Handle maintenance support for E&I equipment, with practical exposure to PLC system troubleshooting and reinstalling software programs when needed.
- Read electrical and instrumentation circuits, wiring, and drawings to diagnose and resolve faults effectively.
- Work with HT and LT switchgear systems as part of maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
- Plan and follow annual maintenance schedules as well as preventive maintenance programs, including TPM practices.
- Track, manage, and control spare parts for critical equipment.
- Coordinate AMC-related services with vendors for UPS, HVAC, and other plant equipment.
- Maintain maintenance-related documentation in line with ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
- Apply safe work practices during repair and maintenance jobs.
Soft Skills and Working Style
- Work in a structured, organized, and process-driven manner.
- Guide maintenance electricians and fitters, assign tasks to shift technicians, and contribute as a strong team player.
- Support internal customers by responding to their operational needs and expectations.
- Communicate clearly in both written and spoken English.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Ensure work is completed through contractors when required.
- Coordinate closely with suppliers, vendors, and local machine shops to get breakdown repairs completed efficiently.
- Build and maintain working relationships with local machine shops to support repair work during equipment failures.
