Laundry Attendant

Role overview

This position is part of the housekeeping and laundry function at W Hotels in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role is non-management and is scheduled as a full-time, on-site position.

What you will do

You will operate laundry, dry-cleaning, and drying equipment, including adding cleaning chemicals and maintaining lint filters. You will check garments and linens for stains or damage, decide whether they need stain treatment, re-washing, or disposal, and verify cleanliness before moving items to clean-linen carts. You will also set dryer time and temperature according to fabric type, remove lint and debris after each load, fold cleaned items to the required size manually or with a folding machine, and keep accurate records of laundered and pressed items.

The role requires adherence to all company safety policies and procedures, prompt reporting of maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries, and completion of any required safety training or certifications. You are expected to maintain a neat, professional uniform and personal appearance, protect confidential company information and assets, support coworkers respectfully, contribute to shared team goals, and meet quality assurance standards.

Physical requirements

This job involves routinely handling items under 25 pounds (11.25 kg) without assistance, standing, sitting, or walking for long periods or for the full shift, visually checking tools and equipment for defects, reaching above the head and below the knees, bending, twisting, crouching, and moving through narrow, confined, elevated, sloped, uneven, or slippery areas. The position also requires climbing and descending stairs and/or service ramps.

Qualifications

No secondary school diploma, GED, prior relevant work experience, supervisory experience, license, or certification is required.
