Merchandiser

Role Overview

This full-time merchandising role is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico and focuses on creating polished in-store presentations, supporting technical display installations, and helping retail locations run smoothly. The position is hands-on, field-based, and involves both merchandising and light technical work.

Schedule

The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Some overnight work may be needed when travel is involved. Weekend and overnight availability is also expected as part of the role.

Key Duties

You will help stores look their best by placing products according to planograms, setting up attractive displays, refreshing signage, and improving the customer shopping experience. The work also includes leading installation and troubleshooting activities for displays, kiosks, AV equipment, and security devices. In addition, you may perform light construction tasks and fixture assembly.

Documentation and communication are also important parts of the job. You will capture photos and videos of completed work, stay in touch with the District Manager, and submit reports on the same day so projects remain organized and clients stay informed.

Work Conditions

• This position involves travel by both car and airplane.
• A Wi-Fi/GPS-enabled smart device with the latest operating system update is required.
• Internet access is needed, and having access to a laptop or desktop computer is helpful.
• The work is physically active and technically involved, including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and staying on your feet throughout the day.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in retail or electronics merchandising is required.
• You should be comfortable taking initiative, guiding tasks, and helping coordinate others when needed.
• Experience reading and following planograms is necessary.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are important, along with the ability to work independently.
• Availability for weekends and overnight assignments is expected.
• A reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license are required.
• You must know how to use hand and power tools and have a cordless drill.
• Ability to earn power-lift/equipment certification within 30 days of joining is required.
