Company overview

MoonBrew is a sleep-focused consumer brand that creates functional products people are happy to use. Its main product is a hot cocoa-style powder drink mix built as a magnesium-based sleep aid, formulated without melatonin and powered by the company’s MagnesiREM blend. That blend includes magnesium glycinate, magnesium taurate, L-theanine, and seven superfoods. The brand has also broadened its range to include Sleep + Vitamin Gummies and other Sleep+ products such as Sleep + Creatine and Sleep + Fiber.

The company has been featured in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Elle, and the New York Times. Founded in 2021 and based in New York, MoonBrew has grown a customer base of more than 1 million buyers entirely through direct-to-consumer sales. It operates with a fast pace, values ownership, and is looking for driven people who want to grow along with the business.

Role summary

This position is for a detail-focused Operations / Production Analyst who will help manage production and supply chain work across both direct-to-consumer and retail channels. You will work closely with the Director of Production & Inventory Management on planning, forecasting, and daily operations, while also partnering with the Finance team on reporting and dashboard creation. The role has strong visibility and comes with meaningful ownership from the start.

What you will do

You will support production planning, inventory control, and operational reporting, while also helping improve systems and processes so the business can scale efficiently.

Production planning and operations

  • Assist with production planning and capacity forecasts, including helping maintain schedules with the Director.
  • Monitor purchase order progress and delivery timelines in coordination with the procurement lead.
  • Work with co-manufacturers on everyday operational needs such as scheduling, yield tracking, shipment status, and resolving issues.
  • Keep inventory records accurate across systems and quickly surface risks, mismatches, and supply shortfalls.
  • Help coordinate production timing and material readiness for new product launches.

Reporting and systems support

  • Work with Finance to create and maintain operational dashboards and reports covering inventory, production performance, and core operations metrics.
  • Support ERP administration by entering data, making updates, and ensuring the system matches actual operations.
  • Spot opportunities to streamline processes and contribute to building scalable standard operating procedures.

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in supply chain, operations, or planning, or a quantitative background in finance, banking, consulting, or private equity.
  • Strong analytical ability and advanced comfort with Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a habit of catching errors early.
  • Comfortable working with data, creating reports, and communicating findings clearly.
  • Self-driven and able to handle several priorities in a fast-changing environment.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across finance, operations, and outside partners.

Nice to have

  • Prior exposure to ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Cin7, or similar systems.
  • Experience in food and beverage, consumer packaged goods, or manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with demand planning, production scheduling, or supply chain analytics.

Why this role stands out

  • High-visibility operations position with a direct effect on delivery performance for both direct-to-consumer and retail channels.
  • Chance to build systems and workflows from the ground up rather than simply maintaining existing ones.
  • Competitive base pay with possible equity participation.
  • Hybrid schedule with Monday through Thursday in the New York City office and Friday remote.
  • Strong opportunity for career growth as the operations function expands.
