AMA Group Ltd is hiring an experienced Paint Prepper for its Capital SMART accident repair network in Somerton, Victoria. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity within a large repair network operating across Australia and New Zealand. The role sits between panel repair and the spray booth, ensuring every vehicle is prepared to a finish standard that supports high-quality paint results.
Key duties
- Prepare repaired panels by sanding, filling, and shaping them to a smooth, paint-ready surface.
- Apply body filler and primers, then block them back as needed.
- Mask vehicles thoroughly before paint work begins.
- Spot surface flaws and correct them before the vehicle reaches the paint stage.
- Coordinate with panel beaters and painters to help work flow efficiently through the repair process.
- Keep the work area tidy and safe, and complete the required job records.
