About the Organisation
Connect2Care is growing into a new area of service delivery, opening the door for someone to help establish and scale its Behaviour Support team. This is an opportunity to work in an expanding, forward-thinking environment where your specialist knowledge can help shape how the service operates, how the team works together, and how clients are supported.
Role Overview
The organisation is seeking a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to help build the new PBS team from the very beginning. This position gives you the chance to influence service processes, team culture, and delivery standards while contributing to the long-term development of the business. It is suited to someone who wants to take on meaningful responsibility, grow into leadership, and play an important part in a new service area.
Key Duties
- Carry out functional behaviour assessments and prepare interim and comprehensive behaviour support plans that are individualised, evidence-informed, and aligned with NDIS expectations.
- Put behaviour strategies into practice and work closely with participants, families, allied health professionals, and support teams through coaching, training, and collaboration.
- Track progress, maintain compliance, review plans, prepare reports, and meet both NDIS and internal organisational requirements.
- Develop plans that improve quality of life, reduce and eliminate restrictive practices, and support the growth of meaningful skills.
- Ensure all work follows the relevant requirements under NDIS and applicable state and territory laws.
- Provide supervision to junior BSP practitioners, including plan endorsement or sign-off where needed.
- Help design and improve the systems, quality processes, and growth of the new Behaviour Support team.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications and Professional Fit
This role is intended for practitioners already approved as NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioners and operating at Core, Proficient, Advanced, or Specialist level. Professional registration or membership should be held where relevant to the profession.
Checks and Compliance
- Working with Children Check and Police Check are required.
- NDIS worker screening clearance is required.
- A driver’s licence is needed if travel forms part of the role.
- Professional indemnity and public liability insurance must be maintained.
Client Groups and Safety
The role involves working with children, people with disability, older people, and other vulnerable individuals. A strong safety focus is expected, and there is zero tolerance for abuse.
What You Can Expect
- Flexible working hours with hybrid working options.
- Professional development allowance plus paid study leave.
- Relocation assistance.
- Clear pathways for career progression.
- Reliable administrative support.
- KPI-based and loyalty bonuses.
