Process Operator

AB InBev Africa is seeking a Process Operator to support packaging operations and help ensure equipment runs at the best possible level of effectiveness. This role is centered on keeping the process reliable, efficient, and well maintained while contributing to a high-performance team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate machinery through start-up, shutdown, and normal running activities.
• Handle brand and pack changeovers as required.
• Carry out autonomous maintenance tasks to keep equipment in good condition.
• Check settings and operating conditions regularly to confirm correct setup.
• Track process performance and flag issues that affect output or quality.
• Support the training and development of operational teams to improve performance.
• Assist with troubleshooting and problem solving in the assigned process area.
• Contribute technical input to continuous improvement efforts aimed at improving process capability.
• Coach and evaluate team members when needed.
• Maintain a workplace that is safe, healthy, and compliant with standards.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to work rotating or assigned shifts.
• Summative assessment completed on at least two machines.
• At least 3 years of experience in a packaging process environment.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to contribute actively with others.
• Alertness, responsiveness, and quick decision-making.
• Good problem-solving capability.
• Manual dexterity for hands-on operational work.
• Demonstrated SAB track record or prior performance history.
