Processing Officer

About the role

This part-time afternoon role is based at NZ Post's new Hawke's Bay operations facility in Tomoana Road, Hastings. As a Processing Officer, you will help sort, consolidate, and dispatch parcels and freight so couriers can deliver them efficiently across New Zealand.

The position runs Monday to Friday, with the following hours: Monday and Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM, and Wednesday to Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The hourly rate is $26.57.

What you'll be doing

• Sorting parcels and freight accurately and efficiently
• Consolidating items for dispatch to couriers
• Helping keep the site safe, organised, and running smoothly
• Working as part of a team in a fast-paced processing environment

What we're looking for

• A reliable team player who contributes to a safe workplace
• Good attention to detail and sound knowledge of geography
• The ability to handle physically demanding work, including lifting up to 25 kg
• Availability for the stated afternoon shifts from Monday to Friday
