Role overview
Leaders, part of LRG, is looking for a Property Inventory Clerk to join its Southend-on-Sea team. The business is a long-established and respected UK property group known for professional service, strong client care, and solid market knowledge.
This is a full-time onsite role with working hours of Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 1:00pm. The annual salary is £13,220.
No previous experience is required, as complete training will be provided. The role involves preparing detailed inventory reports, supporting smooth move-in and move-out processes for tenants and landlords, and completing mid-term inspections to help maintain property standards. While you will work with a wider team, most of the day-to-day work is carried out independently, so confidence in lone working is important.
Key duties
- Schedule and book property inspections with tenants, with a typical daily workload of around 4 to 5 inspections or 2 to 3 inventories.
- Confirm appointments before visiting the property.
- Collect and return keys from nearby offices.
- Inspect the outside of the property, shared spaces where relevant, and the interior condition.
- Check that the property complies with current legislation and is free from hazards.
- Complete reports and follow the required approval process.
- Share maintenance concerns with the property manager.
- Send reports to landlords and tenants, including written summaries and prior phone calls where problems are identified.
- Set follow-up actions for the property manager in the diary.
What the employer is looking for
The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, good organisation, effective time management, and a careful eye for detail. The ability to work well on your own is essential, and a full UK driving licence is required.
Benefits and workplace support
The company offers opportunities for career progression, ongoing training, professional development, access to a wide range of properties, and a supportive team culture. Additional benefits include performance awards, a salary sacrifice pension scheme, annual holiday entitlement that increases by one day each year of service, enhanced parental leave, a newly introduced fertility policy, and staff discounts.
Additional information
LRG is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds. Recruitment is handled directly by the internal hiring team, and the company does not work with recruitment agencies for this vacancy. Unsolicited CVs or candidate referrals from agencies will not be considered.
