Role overview

Capgemini is hiring for an R&S role in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The position focuses on network operations and support for Cisco routing and switching environments.

What you will do

• Handle incident management work, including detailed network troubleshooting and sharing root-cause analysis.
• Support Cisco router and switch environments in a NOC setting.
• Work on Layer 2 and Layer 3 issues such as STP, EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
• Diagnose and resolve problems on Cisco hardware, including ISR routers and Catalyst switches.
• Troubleshoot Cisco routing/switching issues as well as SD-WAN and Cisco Meraki-related problems.
• Operate in a 24/7 rotational shift schedule.

Requirements

• Practical experience with Cisco routers and switches is required.
• Hands-on exposure to ISR routers and Catalyst switches is expected.
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 network protocols and troubleshooting methods.
• Experience supporting Cisco network devices in a NOC environment.
• Good communication skills are important for the role.
• CCNA or CCNP certification is mandatory.
• Basic awareness of ITIL processes is needed.

This is a full-time, onsite opportunity based in Bengaluru.

The role involves in-depth incident handling and producing RCA reports as part of operational support.
