Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site sales role in Beira, Sofala Province, Mozambique. The Sales Representative will work with individual and business clients to market travel offerings, identify customer needs, and propose suitable travel options. The position requires active prospecting, lead follow-up, preparing quotes and itineraries, and converting opportunities into sales while contributing to revenue goals.
Key Duties
The role includes maintaining detailed client records, coordinating with operations and customer support to ensure bookings run smoothly, and handling post-sale support. The Sales Representative will also keep track of market developments, support promotional initiatives, and represent the company’s brand and values professionally in all customer interactions.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate should bring strong sales and negotiation ability, including generating leads, managing client relationships, and closing business. Clear communication, a service-oriented approach, and the ability to listen carefully and build trust are essential. Familiarity with travel products such as flights, hotels, holiday packages, and corporate travel solutions is preferred, though quick learners are welcome.
Comfort using technology and office tools is important, including CRM platforms, email systems, and simple reporting or data-entry tools. The role requires someone who can work from the Beira office, manage time well, and perform in a target-driven, fast-moving environment. Educational background in business, tourism, marketing, or a related discipline is advantageous, and experience in travel or hospitality sales will be a strong plus. Strong English and local language skills are expected, while additional languages are beneficial.
