Senior Associate - Procurement

Role purpose

This position supports procurement operations by driving efficient purchasing activities, maintaining supplier relationships, and helping ensure goods and services are sourced in line with business needs, policy requirements, and delivery expectations.

Procurement execution

• Put procurement plans into action to improve and streamline the buying process.
• Handle the full procurement cycle, including purchase orders and making sure deliveries arrive on time.

Vendor collaboration

• Build and sustain productive working relationships with vendors while ensuring agreed commercial terms are followed.
• Coordinate with suppliers to confirm compliance with contract obligations and service-level commitments.
• Keep vendor files up to date, including records of communication and related documentation.

Sourcing support

• Carry out basic supplier research and help identify suitable vendors for assigned categories.
• Contribute ideas and support to strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Source regional vendors to reduce lead times and improve the delivery of goods or services.

Compliance and risk mitigation

• Make sure procurement activities follow internal procedures and applicable regulations.
• Work with relevant teams to spot and reduce risks within the procurement process.
• Ensure purchasing practices remain aligned with both company policies and external requirements.

Cross-functional collaboration

• Support internal teams with demand planning for anticipated purchases.
• Work with other departments on procurement requirements so they fit planning and operational priorities.

Reporting and analysis

• Prepare reports covering procurement performance, savings achieved, and supplier results.
• Help identify patterns, issues, and opportunities to improve procurement effectiveness.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, biomedical engineering, pharmacy, or a related discipline is required.
