Company Overview
Pipe Technologies Ltd, also known as PipeTech, is a specialist contractor focused on small-bore pipe rehabilitation throughout New Zealand. The business offers an end-to-end service built around modern, proven products to deliver dependable pipe rehabilitation outcomes with minimal disruption. Its approach is grounded in integrity, trust, and long-term client relationships, with an emphasis on smooth project delivery. The company also places importance on innovation, community involvement, environmental care, safety, and high-quality workmanship.
Role Overview
We are looking for a full-time Site Supervisor to work on location in New Zealand and oversee daily activity at pipe rehabilitation project sites. The position involves coordinating crews, organizing work sequences, tracking progress, and making sure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the required standard. You will act as a key point of contact for project managers, clients, and subcontractors, helping to resolve issues and keep everyone informed.
Key Duties
In this role, you will manage site resources, monitor operational progress, and ensure that health and safety requirements are consistently followed. You will carry out site inspections, maintain accurate records and reports, and support the training and growth of team members. The job also includes helping implement PipeTech’s trenchless or no-dig methods and contributing ideas to improve site processes over time.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have practical experience leading construction or civil works sites, especially in pipe rehabilitation, utilities, or similar infrastructure environments. Strong leadership, crew coordination, scheduling, and basic budget awareness are important, along with the ability to supervise in a safety-focused setting. You should understand health, safety, and environmental requirements and be able to apply safe working practices and conduct safety checks on site.
You will also need good communication and people skills for dealing with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams in both field and meeting-room settings. The role requires the ability to interpret plans, technical drawings, and work instructions related to pipe systems and rehabilitation work. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are important for handling changing site conditions, equipment issues, and time-sensitive challenges. Basic computer skills are needed for project tools, email, and documentation, and digital reporting experience is an advantage.
A trade qualification or certification in construction, civil engineering, or utilities is preferred, although equivalent hands-on experience may also be accepted. Candidates must hold a valid driver’s licence, have the legal right to work in New Zealand, and be willing to work across multiple sites in varying outdoor conditions.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, on-site role based in New Zealand. PipeTech operates with a strong focus on safety, sustainability, quality, and efficient delivery across all projects.
