Role overview
This opportunity is for a Solution / Technical Architect supporting a client engagement in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The assignment is a 1-year outsourced contract and requires an immediate start, or joining within 1 to 2 weeks at the latest.

Employment type: 1-year contract, outsourced.
Notice period expectation: immediate joiners preferred; candidates who can join within 1 to 2 weeks may also be considered.
Experience required
- More than 10 years of experience working with Oracle Retail, POS, SIM, or SIOCS platforms.
- At least 5 years of experience in a Solution Architect or Technical Architect role.
- Practical knowledge of Oracle XStore POS, including architecture, extensions, and XStore Office.
- Hands-on understanding of Oracle SIM and SIOCS architecture and related services.
- Experience with Oracle Retail Data Store (RDS) architecture and its use in retail solutions.
- Awareness of upgrade planning and key considerations for moving from SIM to SIOCS.
- Working knowledge of Spring Framework for service and integration development.
- Experience designing REST, SOAP, webhook, and table/database-based integration patterns.
- Exposure to POS integrations such as payments, loyalty, pricing, and similar retail flows.
- Ability to work with Oracle DB SQL, basic Linux administration, and APEX.
- Familiarity with handheld devices and printer integrations.
- Understanding of identity management integration.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools such as Jenkins and Git.
- Strong background in stakeholder coordination and systems integrator governance.
- Retail business knowledge is an added advantage, especially around sales, returns, voids, refunds, tender handling, promotions, discounts, and inventory movements or adjustments.
