Sr. Executive – Procurement

Role Summary

The Sr. Executive – Procurement will oversee the full procurement process for engineering spare parts, technical services, facility-related needs, and consumable items. This position is responsible for making sure purchases match operational needs, sanctioned budgets, technical requirements, and internal governance standards, while helping keep operations running smoothly through effective MRO procurement support.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle the procurement workflow end to end, including PR, PO issuance, delivery tracking, and goods receipt.
• Make sure engineering spares, consumables, technical services, and facility materials are available when needed.
• Create sourcing approaches for engineering parts, service agreements, and facility management needs.
• Spot critical items and long lead-time materials early and build forward-looking sourcing plans.
• Balance sourcing options across OEMs, distributors, and local vendors to secure the best fit.
• Run RFQ and RFP exercises and assess suppliers on technical fit, responsiveness, quality, and cost value.
• Use Total Cost of Ownership thinking to compare proposals, including lifecycle expense, maintenance needs, spare parts availability, energy use, and service dependability.
• Lead negotiations on pricing, lead times, payment terms, and contractual terms.
• Set up blanket purchase orders and framework agreements for repeat purchases.
• Track supplier performance and build backup vendor options for essential categories.
• Watch procurement spend against approved budgets and contribute to cost-reduction initiatives.
• Follow procurement policy, approval limits, and audit/compliance expectations.
• Keep procurement records complete, accurate, and up to date.
• Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Facility Management, QA, EHS, and Finance teams.
• Share routine updates on sourcing progress, supplier performance issues, and savings efforts.

Qualifications and Skills

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
• 4 to 7 years of experience in engineering procurement, MRO procurement, or facility procurement.
• Background in an industrial manufacturing or pharmaceutical setting is an advantage.
• Good understanding of engineering spares, maintenance-related needs, and facility procurement.
• Knowledge of local and global MRO supplier markets.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and identify practical alternatives.
• Strong capability in negotiation, supplier coordination, and stakeholder management.
• Solid analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional fluency in English.
