Role overview
This contract position is for a Supply Chain Manager supporting a high-volume e-commerce operation. The selected person will handle the full supply chain cycle, including logistics coordination, inventory control, and supplier management, to keep customer orders moving smoothly.
The assignment is remote and can be done from anywhere, with compensation set at $40 to $65 per hour. The work supports a client operating at global scale, with collaboration across multiple time zones to serve international operations.
Key responsibilities
- Create and execute supply chain plans that improve procurement, production, and distribution efficiency.
- Handle supplier partnerships by negotiating terms, tracking vendor performance, and reducing supply-related risks.
- Monitor inventory across several warehouses so stock remains balanced and holding costs stay under control.
- Work with logistics teams to improve shipping flow, customs processes, and final-mile delivery.
- Review supply chain data to spot bottlenecks, measure performance, and recommend cost-saving improvements.
Required background and skills
- Prior experience running supply chain operations in e-commerce or retail is mandatory.
- Hands-on knowledge of supply chain systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDA is required.
- Understanding of logistics, freight movement, and customs compliance is necessary.
- Strong analytical ability is needed to assess supply chain metrics and operational performance.
- The role requires the ability to work independently in a remote environment with limited supervision.
