Role overview
You will help deliver a complete telecommunications and switchboard service for Blackpool Hospitals. The role is based at Blackpool Teaching Hospital and supports both Trust staff and the general public throughout the day and night.
Working pattern
This is a part-time onsite position with a rotating shift schedule covering 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Shifts include nights, weekends, and public holidays. You may need to work alone during evening and night shifts, so confidence in lone-working situations is important. The role also requires a high level of flexibility, as duties may change at short notice to cover sickness and annual leave.
Team environment
You will join an established telephonist team with a strong collaborative culture. The service operates continuously and provides communication support to the hospital community and the wider public every day of the year.
One LSC partnership
One Lancashire and South Cumbria is a collaborative arrangement across five NHS trusts working together to improve joined-up services, reduce duplication, and make the best use of shared systems and processes.
