About the Property

Raffles Makkah Palace delivers the refined service standards associated with the Raffles brand, enriched by Arab hospitality. The property features 219 suites and duplex villas with sweeping views of Masjid Al Haram, the Holy Ka’aba, and the city. Guests can enjoy a mix of local and international cuisine across four dining outlets, relax in the spa and fitness center, or host business events in modern meeting facilities.

Role Summary

The Tailor will handle hotel linen, bedding, and colleague uniforms while maintaining presentation quality, service standards, and safety requirements. This position involves hands-on work in a fast-paced hospitality setting, with regular movement, lifting, and close attention to cleanliness and detail.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect items being processed to ensure they are clean and presentable.
Deliver courteous and efficient service at all times.
Manage processing of hotel bedding, staff uniforms, and related textile items.
Follow and uphold all health and safety rules and procedures.
Remain on your feet and move around for the full shift.
Handle frequent lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 30 lbs.
Perform repeated kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting tasks.
Use ladders, stairs, and ramps when needed on an occasional basis.
Carry out any additional duties assigned by the management.

Qualifications

Prior housekeeping experience is considered an advantage.
Good communication and organizational abilities.
Strong people skills and a practical approach to solving problems.
Dependable, accountable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Comfortable working closely with teammates in a collaborative environment.
Able to perform effectively under pressure in a busy setting.
Consistently attentive to guest needs while staying calm and polite.
