About the Role

DB InfraGO AG, the public-benefit infrastructure company of Deutsche Bahn, is seeking a Switchman (w/m/d) for its Seevetal location, specifically within the Seevetal freight yard. As Germany's largest host, we manage approximately 5,400 stations, serving around 21 million travelers daily. Our mission is to create welcoming spaces for our customers. Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, punctual, and economical operational execution within your designated area.
• Safely conduct and oversee shunting operations.
• Promptly and reliably report any hazards, disruptions, or irregularities.
• Communicate shunting orders and actively participate in train movements.
• Manage operational documentation and collaborate effectively with switchmen, foremen, shunting locomotive drivers, and other personnel.
• Consolidate and separate freight flows in a dynamic work environment.

Requirements

• You are a qualified Switchman or possess the willingness to obtain the qualification according to Ril 046.2505.
• You must be fully fit for operational duty and shift work as per Handbook 107.
• Desirable: Solid knowledge of railway infrastructure and operational processes.
• Strong cooperation and teamwork skills are essential.
• Demonstrated physical resilience, even under stressful conditions.
• You are mobile, flexible, and possess strong assertiveness.
