Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site position in Doha, Qatar. The Wireline Senior Operator is responsible for leading wireline work at the wellsite and making sure tools, cables, and related equipment are deployed safely and efficiently for logging and completion services. The role includes guiding the crew, getting equipment and explosives ready and checked, coordinating with field engineers during job execution, reviewing live data while logging is underway, and keeping detailed records of all activities. A key part of the job is maintaining SLB safety requirements, especially for explosives-related work, while also helping less experienced colleagues, supporting equipment upkeep, and driving better service quality and field performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct wireline operations at the wellsite and ensure work is carried out safely and efficiently.
• Supervise the wireline crew and coordinate tasks during logging and completion jobs.
• Prepare, inspect, and verify tools, cables, and explosives before use.
• Work closely with field engineers to plan and execute the job properly.
• Track real-time logging data and respond appropriately during operations.
• Follow SLB safety rules and comply with explosives handling requirements.
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation for all job activities.
• Train, support, and mentor junior team members.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and contribute to ongoing service improvements.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in wireline operations, including tools, logging services, and completion work.
• Strong leadership ability to coordinate crews and mentor junior staff.
• Solid understanding of explosives safety, including secure handling, storage, transport, and compliance.
• Working knowledge of wellsite procedures, HSE practices, and risk management.
• Ability to read technical data, job programs, and service reports with close attention to detail.
• Technical certification or diploma in petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
• Prior experience with SLB or another similar oilfield services company is considered an advantage.
• Readiness to work in field conditions, including extended shifts, and collaborate in a multicultural environment.
• Good English communication skills.
• Familiarity with industry digital tools and reporting systems is beneficial.

The role is based in Doha, Qatar and requires on-site presence. Candidates should be comfortable working in field settings and handling responsibilities linked to safe operations, team coordination, and technical service delivery.
